So, it's the first leg of the trip, and are in Houston. We boarded on a relatively small flight with our group (16) and perhaps 15-20 other people.
Shout out to my mom for buying me a Costa Rica guide book for the trip! It made the flight fly by. A few key facts I learned:
-natives to Costa Rica are known as tocos
- instead of adding "ita" to the end of a word as a term for endearment, you add "tico"
- drivers in San Jose are apparently HORRIBLY aggressive.
- "pura vida" is the motto of Costa Rica, and can be used in place of "ok"
- for a town to be legally called a town, itis required to have a soccer field.
For those of you from IB English, think back to neruda's poems. The united fruit company had a strong presence here.
A rather short, and perhaps dull post, but it helps to past time. Later tonight we have a welcome dinner and who knows what.
¡Pura vida!

Just to be clear, it is the Mom, daughter and cat that are unbalanced. At least that's how I see it.

Dad
As a substantiating witness I concur with the first sentence above. Regardless have a great time.
